Sunday, September 5, at Howick Little Theatre, 1pm.
Director: Rae McGregor
THE PLAY
Adrian and Alison have planned a trip to Italy with their friends Tim and Erica. They are looking forward to it, as they have never been to Italy before. When Tim slips in the bath and breaks his ankle, it looks as if the trip is off, but Harry and Judy, neighbours in their apartment block, say they will go with them, instead. Alison is not sure of this and nor is Adrian but it is either Harry and Judy or no trip. They decide to go, and the difficulties of attuning to each other as the holiday progresses are explored in good Roger Hall style. There are plenty of comedic situations and also some threads of poignancy so there is ample material in this play for actors to work on.

THE DIRECTOR
Raes introduction to theatre was many years ago when Grafton Players decided she could be their permanent member of the audience because of her loud laugh. From that static start, Rae went on to be involved with the Summer Shakespeare productions at Auckland University. Later, she performed with Otamatea Repertory. More recently she has been involved with HLT productions backstage doing costuming or as production assistant until 2008 when she played the role of the scary Guard in 12 Angry Men. She made her directorial debut with last years smash hit Lipstick Dreams.
